And…the Main Tournament of the Japanese Saimoe 2011 finally starts! Let’s see what does the first day have in stock for us:

Group A-1:

Ai Habara (Detective Conan)

Nagase Jun (The World God Only Knows)

Hagimura Suzu (Seitokai Yakuindomo)

Mikogami Nagisa (Kiruminzoo)

Suzu all the way for me. Jun came close, but compared to Suzu she loses, and Nagisa is my least liked Mikogami sister.

Group A-5:

Akemi Homura (Madoka Magica)

Sara (Jewelpet)

Misaka Mikoto (Index II)

A very easy one for me. While I like Mikoto, I don’t really consider her as one of the more moe girls of Raildex, and Sara…well, she certainly is cute, but that’s it. Good luck Homu-Homu!

Group A-9:

Tachibana Rio (Rainbow Gate)

Itsuwa (Index II)

Manabe Nodoka (K-On!!)

And a no-brainer for me, though I can actually see Itsuwa doing better than her. Well, I’m not into the Index novels, so for me Nodoka wins.

An oil refinery in Chiba prefecture also got fire, which caused quite an uproar.

On a different note, unfortunately it also affected many events planned to take place in the near future, among them the upcoming Reitaisai 8. We can only hope it will be held sometime soon.
